Al took the day off work (don't tell her boss!) so we did more holiday planning in the morning before heading to Borough Market is set beneath the railway viaducts between the river Thames and Borough High Street in South East London. There are loads of food and drink stalls, really a great range of quality produce on sale ranging from gourmet pies, sliced meats, cheeses, pastry and desert stalls, olives, sangria/pimms stall, nuts, seafood...heaven!
We had lunch then wandered around the area, going down to the river and following it past the Globe Theatre, London Eye, Aquarium etc. It was another lovely day and lots of people were out enjoying it (school holidays I found out later). Al showed me some quaint parks tucked away in hard to find places.
I then met up with Aaron at 5pm (I use to live with Aaron and Fi in a house in Coogee Sydney, and we really had some great times). Az took me to an Australiana shop - surprise for dinner was meat pies and Boags beer whilst watching a replay of the Pies vs Cats game. Pity Pies still didn't win. It was great spending time with Az's wife and 2 boys - they are gorgeous with loads of personality.
