Day 88 and 89 - Backpack is loaded up and I am ready to go

Day 88 - Off again.  I have the backpack loaded for the next 6 weeks travelling around Europe (was just clothes for warm weather but added a couple of cold weather items after looking at the weather forecast for Paris and Zurich).

I said farewell to Olly and Yvonne who fly out today, then headed via train to London where I had to pick up tickets for my European train trips before jumping on another train to Maria's place in Warrington. Maria and her mother and I are going to Paris together - it is 18 years since Maria and I were there together.  Time has flown.

Trip to Warrington was uneventful. Julien met me at the train station to grab my bags so I could go to the hairdresser and have a hair cut - first one in 3 months, my hair is soooo long...Nic even asked me if I was wearing a wig when she saw me on skype!!

We had a quiet night at home, discussing our trip and generally catching up. Fingers crossed for good weather in Paris.

Day 89 - another trip to town, me for waxing (it is all the little things that a gal just needs to do even when she is travelling the other side of the world!!), and Maria's mother Betty came in with me for some time out of the house.  The weather in Warrington is so much cooler than it was when I was here at Easter.  We really were thankful that it was great then....cooler and keeps threatening to rain at the moment.

I am also concentrating on booking the Asia leg of my trip as really cheap flights at the moment so taking advantage of it.  Have had confirmation of my change of flight from London to Singapore.  Was leaving London on 9th August but have delayed it til 18th Aug when I fly to Singapore, then a couple of hours later fly to KL.  I am so keen to make the most of being in the UK - have not yet been to see Pam in Oxford, go to Bath or Lakes District, and have only really had 1 siteseeing day in London.  When back from Belgium, I will focus on these things.  It means I only then have 3 weeks in Asia now but I figure it is so much closer to home, cheaper and easier to get to - it is likely to be quite awhile before I am back in Europe.

Can't believe I am going back to Paris!!
