Inside St Patrick's

I had a great sleep so was ready to get out and about in Dublin.  Nicola lives only 20 min walk from the city centre so I made my way in, visited the tourist information centre, then wandered around town to:
  • Trinity College (will see Book of Kells when Olly is in town on the weekend)
  • St Stephen's Green (beautiful park)
  • outisde of the National Library, Museum and Leinster House
  • Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse and Grill (didn't eat there but was tempted)
  • had lunch at Davy Burns (yummy Irish food)
  • Grafton St shopping area
  • Dublin Castle
  • Christchurch Cathedral
  • St Patrick's Cathedral.
After all this siteseeing I was exhausted but still had the energy to walk back to Nicola's place.

As a "chillax", I took my computer down to one of the local pubs that had free wifi so I could catch up on emails and keep working on the blog, whilst consuming a couple of pints of Bulmers (apple cider).  It went down really well!

I grabbed fish and chips for Nicola and I on the way back to her place and had a quiet night in.  I mentioned to her that I was trying to coordinate a couple of friends to see Shakespeare performed at the Globe Theatre in London - Much Ado About Nothing is playing.  She had it on dvd so we watched it.
