Time to do more siteseeing. I was going to go to Ham House and Richmond, but it isn't open on a Friday (just as well I checked the internet!)
I hadn't done that much walking for awhile so my feet were killing me. I made my way to the train station, and noticed that the cricket was on tv so stayed for a pint or 2 of beer. By this stage it was after 5pm and peak hour on public transport so there wasn't much point battling the hoards.
By the time I walked to the Farnham train station, caught a train to London then made my way via the underground to Kew Gardens, it was nearly lunchtime. I visited Kew Gardens when I was in London 19 years ago, and loved it then. I still love it. It is such a huge space, with lovely gardens, huge trees, greenhouses, and amazing statues.

When I did get back to Farnham, at about 9pm and Pat was outside burning off rubbish. After watering the garden we sat in front of the fire, chatted and consumed a shared a bottle of red. It was really nice, and a great way to finish a great day. Olly is off having fun on a girlies golf weekend - she definitely knows how to relax after a busy week at work!
