Day 160 - Fish spa and more hawkers food

I had a really bad night sleep again - bummer.  After breakfast etc Nic and I headed off from the hotel, to check out more of KL.  We went to the KL Craft Complex, expecting to see local arts and crafts.  Instead, it was quite commercial but Nic found and bought some lovely batik silks.

One of the things for KL on my to-do list was visit a "fish spa"- you dangle your feet in a fish tank and small fish eat the dead skin off your feet.  It was so ticklish that it took me a couple of goes to keep my feet in the water.  We sat there for 30 min watching in fascination as the fish move from one foot to another, or focus on both feet at the same time.  My feet definitely felt softer!

We then made our way through parts of KL we hadn't seen before, and stopped for lunch (very late, about 3pm by this stage!) at a hawkers stall I read about.  I love the stalls - with electricity and running water, it never looks entirely safe but appears to function well.  We had a specialty beef balls in noodle soup - quite bizarre texture (beef balls), but the soup had a lot of favour.

We caught a taxi back to the hotel then went to the local shopping centre in the Petronas Twin Towers (see entry for the following day explanation).  Nic finds it difficult purchasing western sized clothes and shoes in Hong Kong so had a great time shopping, and I had a great time as well getting a few things.

Quiet night in with a few gins and take-away Malaysian food from the restaurant downstairs.  Sorting out things in our bags as this is the last night in KL.
